Why Tabacon
Two decades of working on Hudson Valley properties, and a few things we do differently.
Roofs and siding get low-pressure soft washing; driveways and concrete get power washing. Matching the method to the surface is what keeps a clean from turning into damage.
Working here since 2003 means we know what Hudson Valley weather does to wood, siding and roofs — and what it takes to bring them back.
The same crew handles a single driveway and a full commercial building, so the standard does not change with the size of the job.
Biodegradable cleaning solutions and low-moisture methods, chosen so they are safe around your planting, your pets and your people.
Where We Work
Family-owned and based in the Hudson Valley. From Stormville outward, we clean homes and businesses across these communities:
Dutchess County
Stormville is a hamlet in the Town of East Fishkill, in southern Dutchess County, named for the Storm family who farmed this part of the county in the 1700s. It is the most rural corner of the town: houses sit back from the road on long driveways, often on an acre or several, with woods on every side and the wooded slopes of Stormville Mountain nearby, where the Appalachian Trail passes through. Some back onto streams or protected land. All those trees are what shape exterior cleaning here.
Most of our work in Stormville is the whole property rather than one wall: a soft wash for the siding and roof, the deck that sits in the shade of the woods, the windows, the walkways and the gutters full of leaves and needles. We wash at low pressure, which is gentler on older farmhouses and wood siding and keeps water out from behind the boards. Because so many homes here sit near a stream, a pond or a wooded wetland, we use biodegradable solutions and plan each job around the water and plantings closest to the house.
On a wooded lot, shade keeps the siding, decks and roof damp long after the rain stops, so green algae and black mildew come back faster here than in the open parts of the county. Spring coats everything in yellow pollen from the surrounding trees, summer brings spider webs under every eave and around the windows, and autumn drops a steady load of leaves and pine needles into the gutters. Winter snow lingers on shaded roofs and north walls, and by spring the bottom of the siding is streaked with splash-back and grime.

Questions
No. Long driveways are normal here. We only need to get our equipment close enough to the house and an outside spigot to work from, so mention the driveway and anything tight about it (a narrow bridge, a steep grade, a gate) when you ask for a quote, and we'll plan the visit around it.
Yes. Washing the siding, soffits and window frames clears the webs and the dirt that collects in them. On wooded lots they come back through the summer, which is one reason many homes here are washed once a year.
We use biodegradable cleaning solutions, wet down plantings before we start and rinse them again afterwards. Tell us where the stream, pond or wetland is when you ask for a quote, and we'll plan which side of the house to start from and how to keep the rinse water away from it.
Yes. Deck cleaning lifts the algae and grime that grow on shaded boards, which makes the deck safer to walk on and gets it ready for a fresh stain or sealer if you plan one. On a deck that rarely sees sun, a yearly clean keeps the growth from building up.
Yes. We work across Stormville, from the hamlet and the roads around it up to the homes on Stormville Mountain, and throughout the rest of East Fishkill and nearby Beekman.
Yes. If you'd rather not have the work done on a weekend when the flea market is running at the old Stormville Airport, tell us when you book and we'll pick another day.
Tell us about your property and we'll get back to you with an honest quote, no obligation.
